The Tire Rack One Lap of America is the toughest 8 days of racing featuring the fastest street-legal cars on America's most challenging racetracks!

Nearly twenty-four hours a day driving with competition taking place as time trials on race tracks throughout the country. The event, as it always has been, is foremost one of endurance and vehicle preparation. No support crews are allowed. The tires that are used on the street are the same ones that are raced on (one set per team). Although scoring is based on performance at the race tracks, the vehicles and their drivers must survive over 5000 miles of driving interspersed with the finest meals available at gas station convenience stores. Personal hygiene takes a holiday and friendships (sometimes marriages) are stretched to the limits as these competitors battle fatigue, weather, traffic and the demands of high-speed competition with both unknown amateurs and seasoned professional drivers like Parnelli Jones, Price Cobb, John Buffum, Elliot Forbes Robinson and Hurley Haywood.

Entered in this year’s event are three teams who are running to raise awareness for Caregivers For Life

The teammates are as diverse as the cars themselves bringing together drivers from the United States and abroad. Don’t believe us, well then how’s this sound…

Team #1 runs in America’s premier super car, the Corvette ZR1 and is made up an Elected Official and backyard mechanic.

Team #2 takes the helm of a Ferrari F430 and is piloted by a west coast Venture Capitalist and Neurosurgeon.

Team #3 drive a classic piece of American iron in the form of a 1968 Dodge Charger and is piloted by an Automotive Journalist and European automobile importer from the UK.

All of these great vehicles have together for one purpose… to help raise awareness for Caregivers For Llife.
